The absolute worst purchasing experience I have ever endured
I drove 325 miles each way from just outside of Boston to Stars and Stripes to purchase a 2023 Ultra Limited. Took hours to get the deal done due to training of the new Business Manager. Okay, I worked through this, but from there the deal turned into a nightmare. I was promised a temporary plate on the way out, this did not happen but was assured I would receive this plate in a day or so via overnight mail. Weeks later, I have no plate, no paperwork and have pretty much been ghosted by the dealership. I am unable to use my bike as the nice days pass. Eventually, the Stars and Stripes dealership transferred the responsibility to provide me with the proper registration paperwork to a dealership in Massachusetts; explaining they did not know what to do. Since then, over a week ago, I am still waiting to receive my registration information, temporary plates and the ability to use my purchased 2023 Ultra Limited. Lots of finger pointing between dealers (owned by the same group), lots of unfulfilled commitments and no real ownership. The actual owners, The Motorcycle Company are ghosts. As of now, I am on week 3 with a huge herring purchase I am unable to register or operate. It's Memorial Day weekend and I sit here paying for insurance with no legal bike. Lots of people promising to make this happen and resolve the issue, but it just gets more tedious. Next week, I have to seek a legal resolution for this huge purchase as I am certainly going to lose half of my riding season here up north. All I can advise to to stay away from this dealership and their parent The Motorcycle Company, because if you have a snag it will not get resolved quickly or easily. Trust me on this.
